🔄 Our Update Process

Data Refresh

NHTSA publishes updated SGO data every 1-2 months. We process new data within days of release, deduplicating reports and updating all aggregate statistics.

Quality Checks

Automated validation ensures incident counts match across pages, fatality totals are consistent, and no duplicate Report IDs remain after processing.

New Features

Tools, visualizations, and analysis articles are developed based on user feedback and research needs. We prioritize features that improve data accessibility.

Corrections

When errors are identified — in our processing, classification, or presentation — we fix them promptly and document the correction in this changelog.
