The May vehicle is approaching a lane change. It signals the lane change appropriately early and begins to gradually decelerate for the change. The trailing SUV continues to accelerate while the May vehicle is simultaneously decelerating, and eventually changes lanes directly into the May vehicle. Trailing SUV drives away without slowing meaningfully, disappearing around an upcoming turn. May vehicle deceleration never exceeds -1.3m/s2, so there is no plausible reason a responsible driver would not have had adequate time to adjust their speed or path to avoid a collision.
