Narrative

10-Day Update on Report 502-10114-1: No additional information has been received that materially differs from the details previously reported about this incident. On February [XXX], 2025, Ford received allegations from a claimant's attorney that BlueCruise and Co-Pilot 360 were involved in an incident, involving a 2024 Expedition XLT, that occurred on January[XXX], 2025. Ford requested additional information as the attorney did not specify how these systems were allegedly involved, or whether the incident involved a tow-away, airbag deployment, vulnerable road user, or injury. On March [XXX], 2025, the claimant's attorney confirmed that the incident involved an unspecified personal injury. Ford has confirmed that the vehicle is not equipped with BlueCruise hardware or features, but it is equipped with Co-Pilot 360 Assist+, which includes Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Lane Center Assist (LCA). At this point, Ford has not been able to identify any related L2 connected vehicle data and is still investigating whether these features were active at the time of the incident. Ford's investigation is ongoing, and we have requested additional information from the claimant's attorney, including the time and location of the incident. Additionally, on March [XXX], 2025, Ford searched for related claims on this vehicle and found a customer relationship center case (Case# CXH-[XXX]-T3W6N4) opened on February [XXX], 2025. In this case, the customer alleged that the driver took their eyes off the road and hit a tree. There was no indication of tow-away, airbag deployment, vulnerable road user, or injury. The claimant did not indicate that an L2 ADAS system was active at the time of this incident and did not provide the date of the incident. Ford has not yet confirmed if this claim is related to the January [XXX] event.
