Narrative
On February [XXX], 2026, a Mustang Mach-E traveling on [XXX] was involved in a multi-vehicle collision. The incident initiated when a truck sideswiped the Mach-E on the driver's side, forcing it into the opposite lane where it subsequently rear-ended a third vehicle. The impact resulted in airbag deployment; the passenger of the Mach-E was treated for minor injuries and released the same day.
The claimant alleges that Level 2 ADAS features, specifically Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Lane Centering Assist (LCA), were active during the event. Ford has confirmed the vehicle is equipped with Ford Co-Pilot360 Active 2.0 (including ACC, LCA, and BlueCruise). While telemetry data corroborates the airbag deployment, it has not yet confirmed L2 engagement. Ford's investigation into the system status at the time of the incident is ongoing.
