Narrative
A driver reported that they were traveling on a freeway in their 2025 Ford F-150 near Temple, Texas, on April [XXX], 2026, at approximately 10:15 a.m. The driver initially reported that, while traveling with the BlueCruise feature engaged, the vehicle steering wheel was getting "stuck" and that they could not control the vehicle. The driver subsequently reported that they lost control of the steering wheel or it "locked", causing the vehicle to hydroplane and hit a median. The driver reported that an airbag deployed in the incident. There were no reported injuries.
Ford has verified that the vehicle is equipped with Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0, which includes Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Centering Assist (LCA), and BlueCruise. Connected vehicle telemetry data confirm an airbag deployment at approximately 10:18 a.m. on the subject date. Ford's investigation continues.
