Ford F150 Incident

Update to SGO Report 502-7195: The driver of the subject vehicle reported that, while driving with ACC and LCA engaged, the left front tire of the subject vehicle separated from the axle. The driver further reported that this caused them to lose control of the vehicle and that it impacted a guardrail. There were no reported injuries. Based on Ford's inspection of the vehicle and accident scene, Ford believes that the tire/wheel separation occurred because of the collision with the guardrail. The subject vehicle was equipped with both ACC and LCA. Ford has confirmed that some form of cruise control (either standard or ACC) was engaged at the time of the incident but has not been able to confirm whether LCA was also engaged at that time.
