On May [XXX], 2025, a 2024 Chevrolet Traverse was traveling east on [XXX]. According to telematics data, a frontal impact occurred that deployed the front seat belt pretensioners and deployed the airbags. The driver was buckled at the time of the crash. According to OnStar audio recordings, the vehicle collided with a semi-truck that unexpectedly made a left turn. Super Cruise was engaged and active 8 seconds prior to the incident, entered a Degraded Escalation state 7 seconds prior to the incident. Super Cruise was in a Disabled/Not Ready state 6 seconds before the collision.
