CADILLAC CT5 Incident

On December [XXX], 2025, a 2025 Cadillac CT5 was travelling eastbound in the left lane on [XXX] in Farmersville, Texas, with Super Cruise engaged and active. Crash data indicated a frontal impact occurred that deployed the front seat belt pretensioners and airbags. The driver was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. According to OnStar recordings, the driver stated they struck an 18-wheeler and another unknown vehicle. Telematics data indicates Super Cruise changed to "Disabled/Not Ready" 2 seconds prior to the crash due to driver brake apply. Update: On December 30, 2025 GM received the police report which indicates that the CT5 driver did not control speed and impacted the left rear of the front tractor unit and the side of the tractor trailer stopped at a traffic signal. The report further notes that the subject vehicle then struck the rear right of a stationary Ford F-350 pickup truck positioned adjacent to the semi-truck. Only a minor injury was reported by the CT5 driver.
