Narrative
On February [XXX], 2026, a 2026 Chevrolet Traverse was travelling northbound on [XXX] with Super Cruise engaged and active. Crash data indicates a frontal impact that resulted in deployment of the airbag and front seat belt pretensioners. According to OnStar audio recordings, the driver reported there was an accident ahead of them and they could not stop in time and struck a stopped semi-truck. The driver asked for EMS. Based on system data and design, Super Cruise changed state to Disabled one second prior to the crash due to a brake pedal press and detection of hands on the wheel.
