Narrative
On March [XXX], 2026, a 2023 GMC Sierra was traveling westbound on [XXX] in Louisville, Kentucky, with Super Cruise engaged and active. Crash data indicated a left side impact that resulted in deployment of the airbag and front seat belt pretensioners. The driver was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Review of the OnStar audio recording indicates that the driver alleged the vehicle jerked laterally, the driver overcorrected, after which the vehicle impacted the highway retaining wall. The driver reported that no injuries were sustained. Telematics data shows that Super Cruise changed to Disabled/Not Ready 3 second prior to the crash due to a FCA event.
