Narrative
On November [XXX], 2024, a 2022 Cadillac Escalade was traveling west on [XXX], in Ridgefield, New Jersey with Super Cruise engaged and active. According to OnStar audio recordings, the driver indicated the vehicle impacted a guardrail on the right hand side of the highway. Crash data indicates a side impact and side airbags and seatbelt pretensioners deployed. The driver was buckled at the time of the crash. According to telematics data, at approximately 7 seconds prior to the crash, Super Cruise entered an Override state due to a steering wheel torque input and hands on wheel and a Disable/Not Ready state due to a brake press.
