Dodge Charger BEV Incident

Updates have been made since the 1-day submission based on additional information. The subject vehicle is a preproduction Stellantis-owned development vehicle. The vehicle was in operation for the purpose of ADAS development. Vehicle communication bus data, ADAS system data, and video prior to the collision are available from the subject vehicle. The subject vehicle was northbound on [XXX]approaching [XXX], intending to turn left on [XXX]. Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) was engaged. Based on the recorded data, the subject driver applied the brakes when approaching the intersection, which disengaged the ACC prior to turning left. The other vehicle (southbound on [XXX]) collided with the subject vehicle when the subject vehicle turned left through the intersection. Subject vehicle's ADAS was disengaged and did not contribute to the collision. After the collision, airbags deployed in both vehicles. The two occupants of the subject vehicle and the driver of the other vehicle were evaluated at the scene by EMS. No one was transported to the hospital from the scene. Both vehicles were towed away. Later, both occupants of the subject vehicle underwent precautionary evaluation at a medical clinic and were released.
