Subaru Outback Incident

The customer stated that the subject vehicle was traveling westbound on [XXX] between Grand Junction, CO and West Moab, UT at 80 MPH with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Lane Centering (LCF) engaged. As the vehicle approached two slower moving tractor trailers, the driver changed lanes from the right-hand lane to the left-hand lane. The customer stated that, once in the left-hand lane, he judged the vehicle traveling too far to the right and made a quick turn of the steering wheel to the left. In doing so, the customer stated that he oversteered the vehicle, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and rollover. The curtain airbags deployed. The customer was assessed by EMTs and released after declining transportation to the hospital. The vehicle was towed from the scene. Subaru was unable to gain access to inspect the subject vehicle. The customer became unresponsive.
