On August [XXX], 2025, one of Nuro's Prius vehicles operating in manual mode in the Houston area was struck from behind while yielding to cross-traffic at an intersection. The vehicle had been operating in autonomous mode within 30 seconds prior to the incident, but the operator had disengaged autonomy several seconds prior to reaching the intersection. No injuries resulted from this incident, although there was minor property damage to both vehicles.
