Toyota Prius Incident

On January [XXX], 2024 a Nuro Prius operating in manual mode side-swiped a parked passenger vehicle. The Nuro human operator reported no injuries and the passenger vehicle did not have occupants. No other individuals were involved. The Nuro operator, with assistance from nearby neighbors, was able to contact the vehicle owner and exchange information. The damage to both vehicles was minor, and law enforcement was not contacted. Upon further review of the incident data the week of January 22, Nuro determined that the Prius was in autonomous mode approximately 25 seconds prior to the incident. There was no evidence that the autonomous operation had any impact on the incident.
