At 5:03 PM CDT on January [XXX], 2026 in El Paso, Texas, an Aurora vehicle was traveling east on [XXX] at approximately 55 MPH during a development mission. The Aurora vehicle was in autonomy.
The Aurora vehicle was traveling straight in its lane. A pickup truck was present ahead. A loose object from the pickup truck struck the Aurora vehicle. After impact, the vehicle operator elected to disengage autonomy and returned to the Aurora terminal. The Aurora vehicle was driveable from the location.
No injuries were reported. The Aurora vehicle sustained damage.
