Toyota Highlander Incident

A Zoox vehicle in autonomy was traveling in the left travel lane of westbound [XXX] between [XXX] and [XXX] while passing a parked wide delivery truck, when a passenger car traveling ahead in the right lane abruptly steered into the Zoox travel lane without using a turn indicator. The Zoox vehicle braked aggressively in autonomy and the safety operator disengaged and conducted additional manual braking, but the collision was unavoidable. The driver of the passenger car left the scene without exchanging information. The Zoox vehicle sustained moderate damage. There were no injuries reported and the police were not called.
