Ford F-150 Incident

On October [XXX], 2024, the driver of the F-150 was traveling east on [XXX] while using BlueCruise hands-free mode. The driver noticed traffic ahead was beginning to back up and BlueCruise initiated braking, the driver took control of the vehicle, bringing it to a stop. A following Chevy Impala failed to stop and collided with the rear of the F-150. There were no reported injuries the airbags in the Impala deployed, and it was towed from the scene, while the F-150 had no airbags deployed and did not require towing. Ford is currently investigating the situation and has confirmed that the vehicle was equipped with ADAS Level 2 and BlueCruise.
