GMC Yukon Incident

On May [XXX], 2025, a 2023 GMC Yukon was traveling in the right northbound lane of [XXX], south of MS highway [XXX] in Oakland, Mississippi. According to telematics data, a right-side impact occurred that deployed the front seat belt pretensioners and the side air bag. The driver and the right front passenger were buckled at the time of crash. Super Cruise was Engaged and Active 7 seconds prior to the crash and changed to a Degraded Escalation state due to detection of a distracted driver. Super Cruise entered a Disabled/Not Ready state 4 seconds prior to the crash due to detection of hands on the steering wheel. Super Cruise was Enabled (available, but not engaged) at the time of crash.
