Narrative
On October [XXX], 2025, a 2024 Cadillac Lyriq was travelling northbound on [XXX] in Provo, Utah, with Super Cruise engaged and active. Crash data indicated a frontal impact occurred that deployed the front seat belt pretensioners and airbags. The driver was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. According to OnStar recordings, the driver reported that they hit another vehicle on the highway. Telematics data indicates the system changed to "Degraded Escalation" due to a forward collision alert 3 seconds prior to the crash, followed by a Disabled/Not Ready state due to driver braking 2 seconds prior to the crash.
