CHEVROLET Traverse Incident

On December [XXX], 2025, a 2024 Chevrolet Traverse was travelling southbound on [XXX] in Trumann, Arkansas, with Super Cruise engaged and active. Crash data indicates there was a frontal impact that deployed the front seat belt pretensioners and airbags. The driver and front passenger were wearing their seat belts at the time of crash. A review of the OnStar audio recordings indicated a two-vehicle crash. Telematics data indicates that Super Cruise entered a "Disabled/Not Ready" state 2.7 seconds prior to the crash due to a driver brake apply. According to the police report, the subject vehicle was passing another vehicle on the left when the other vehicle swerved into the subject vehicle's lane. The subject vehicle driver steered left to avoid contact and lost control, striking the center median concrete barrier. The subject vehicle did not make contact with the other vehicle.
