GMC Sierra Incident

On June [XXX], 2024, a 2023 GMC Sierra was traveling North on [XXX] with Super Cruise engaged and active. According to EDR data, Super Cruise entered a Disabled/Not Ready state 1 second prior to the crash due to the driver pressing the brake and turning the steering wheel to the left. The driver described striking a fire truck as he entered a curved section of the roadway. The driver's seat belt pretensioner and front airbag deployed. The right passenger side airbag deployed. The vehicle was traveling approximately 39 mph prior to the crash.
