HONDA Accord Incident

Honda received information regarding a lawsuit in relation to a motor vehicle crash. The subject crash occurred on September [XXX], 2025, in Dekalb County, MO. The plaintiff had brought his 2013 Chevrolet Cruz to a stop at an intersection when codefendant drove the subject 2020 Honda Accord into the rear of Plaintiff's vehicle, allegedly causing injuries to Plaintiff. Per the police report and complaint, the codefendant states they had set the Accord's ACC to 80 mph and then fell asleep while driving. The EDR report from an independent investigator indicates the subject Accord's ACC and LKAS were engaged prior to the crash. Notably, the subject Accord was equipped with an aftermarket ADAS system called OpenPilot sold by a company called comma.ai.
