Honda CRV Incident

The customer was driving on a freeway on a rainy day with his Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS) engaged. The customer explained that when he changed lanes, the LKAS indicator was not filled due to the vehicle not detecting the lane markings on the road due to the weather. After completing the lane change, the customer approached a vehicle that was slowing down. The customer alleged that he thought his vehicle's ACC would slow his vehicle down due to the slowing vehicle in front of him. The customer stated that he did not engage the vehicle's brake until he realized that his vehicle did not slow down. As a result, the customer crashed into the vehicle in front of him. The customer reported that both the driver and passenger airbags deployed and no injuries occurred.
