HONDA ACCORD Incident

On [XXX], a Honda Accord equipped with LKAS and ACC was speeding at 78 MPH in a 70 MPH zone. Both systems were actively engaged when the Accord's brakes unexpectedly activated and LKAS jerked the steering, causing a collision with a 10-wheeler. There was no manual disengagement of these systems or known issues before the incident. Post-crash, there were no injuries, fatalities, or airbag deployments. Neither vehicle required towing. The incident, involving an American Honda associate in a company vehicle, was reported to Fleet Response and then to Honda's Product Regulatory Office for review. This is an update to REPORT ID 62-7319-2, correcting the vehicle status as repaired. The vehicle has been repaired and returned to the driver. No new media sources were used in this update.
