RIVIAN R1T Incident

At approximately 22:26 PM EST the subject vehicle was operating in Highway Assist mode (“HWA”) when a sudden steering input from the driver disabled HWA. Shortly after the steering input and resulting HWA cancellation the collision occurs. Information about the event is limited as Rivian has not been contacted by the driver and the only information available is low fidelity telemetry data. Based on the limited information available Rivian believes the collision was a result of the sudden steering input by the driver.
