Toyota Highlander Incident

A Zoox vehicle (Vehicle 1) operating in autonomous mode turned right onto [XXX] from eastbound [XXX], approaching the intersection with [XXX] in San Francisco. As it was entering the intersection, the Zoox vehicle briefly braked to a stop, and just as it started to move, it was rear ended by a passenger car (Vehicle 2) traveling directly behind. The Zoox vehicle operator then disengaged from autonomy, cleared the intersection, and pulled over to exchange information. The rear bumper of the Zoox vehicle sustained minor damage, and its software operator, who was seated in the front passenger seat, reported "soreness in [REDACTED, MAY CONTAIN CONFIDENTIAL BUSINESS INFORMATION] right shoulder" after the collision. The police were not called.
