HYUNDAI Ioniq 5 Incident

On February [XXX], 2026 at 9:27 PM, an AVRIDE autonomous vehicle (the "AVRIDE AV") was in a collision in Austin, Texas on [XXX] near [XXX]. The AVRIDE was traveling eastbound on [XXX] while in autonomous mode, when it stopped at the crosswalk of the intersection with [XXX] due to vehicles blocking its path from crossing the intersection completely. The safety operator disengaged from autonomous mode and began to reverse the vehicle to allow pedestrians to cross the street. During this reverse process, the rear of the AVRIDE AV made contact with the front of a passenger vehicle stopped behind it. Both vehicles sustained minor damage. No injuries were reported.
