On September [XXX], 2025, a 2025 Cadillac Escalade was travelling northbound on [XXX] in Port Charlotte, Florida, with Super Cruise engaged and active. Crash data indicates there was a frontal impact that deployed the front seat belt pretensioners and airbags. The driver was wearing their seat belt at the time of crash. Telematics data indicates Super Cruise changed to a "Degraded Escalation" state 1.2 seconds prior to the crash due to a frontal collision alert. Super Cruise changed to a "Disabled/Not Ready" state 0.8 seconds prior to the crash due to the driver taking control and braking. According to OnStar audio recordings, the driver indicated they were not injured.
