GMC Sierra Incident

On October [XXX], 2025, a GMC Sierra was traveling southbound on [XXX] in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, with Super Cruise engaged and active. Crash data indicated a right-side impact occurred that deployed the airbags and front seat belt pretensioners. The driver was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. According to OnStar audio recordings, a bystander reported that the truck allegedly swerved to the right, struck another vehicle, and subsequently impacted the highway wall. Telematics data shows that Super Cruise changed to "Override" 6 seconds before the crash due to hands on the steering wheel and a steering torque applied. At 5 seconds prior to the crash, Super Cruise entered a "Disabled/Not Ready" state due to a driver take over.
