CADILLAC Optiq Incident

On November [XXX], 2025, a 2025 Cadillac Optiq was travelling westbound on [XXX] in New Albany, Ohio, with Super Cruise engaged and active. Crash data indicates there was a frontal impact that deployed the front seat belt pretensioners and airbags. The driver was wearing their seat belt at the time of crash. Telematics data indicates Super Cruise changed to "Override" 8 seconds prior to the crash due to driver taking steering control. At 3 seconds prior to the crash Super Cruise changed to "Disabled/Not Ready" due to a brake pedal apply. According to OnStar, the driver reported impacting the guardrail. A police report reviewed on December 17, 2025 indicates the vehicle struck a concrete wall before striking the guard rail.
