Cadillac Escalade Incident

On April [XXX], 2024, a 2023 Escalade was traveling northeast on [XXX] in Cleveland, Ohio with Super Cruise engaged. According to the OnStar call, the driver claims the vehicle was engaged in Super Cruise mode and disengaged suddenly, causing the vehicle to veer to the left, hitting a cement barrier. According to a police report, the vehicle then deflected to the right across the highway, impacting the guardrail located on the right shoulder where it came to a rest facing oncoming traffic (180-degree rotation). According to vehicle telematics data, Super Cruise was engaged and active 36 seconds prior to the crash and disabled approximately 13 seconds prior to the crash. The driver front airbag and pretensioner deployed. The driver did not have his seat belt buckled.
