GMC Sierra Incident

On February [XXX], 2025, a 2025 GMC Sierra was travelling eastbound in the left lane on [XXX] in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, with Super Cruise engaged and active. Crash data indicates a frontal impact occurred that deployed the driver's frontal airbag and activated the front seat belt pretensioners. According to OnStar audio recordings, the driver reported that a vehicle entered his lane from an adjacent road on the right. The driver was wearing their seat belt at the time of the crash. Telematic data, which GM received on December 23, 2025, indicates that Super Cruise changed to "Disable/Not Ready" 0.4 seconds prior to the crash due to a driver brake apply. An obtained police report indicates that the other vehicle failed to yield to the subject vehicle when turning southbound onto[XXX].
