GMC Acadia Incident

On February [XXX], 2025, a 2024 GMC Acadia was traveling northeast on [XXX], in New Haven, Indiana with Super Cruise engaged and active. According to OnStar audio recordings, the driver indicated they lost control of the vehicle and hit the center cement highway barrier. Crash data indicates a frontal impact that deployed the airbags and front seat belt pretensioners. The driver and front passenger were wearing their seat belts at the time of crash. Vehicle data shows that approximately 15 seconds prior to the crash, Super Cruise entered a Disabled/Not Ready state due to a driver take over of the vehicle with a brake pedal press.
