CHEVROLET Silverado Incident

On June [XXX], 2025, a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV was traveling south on [XXX], just south of [XXX] in Troy, Michigan. EDR data indicates a frontal impact that deployed the front seat belt pretensioners and driver frontal airbag. The driver was buckled at the time of the crash. According to telematics data, Super Cruise was engaged and active 4 seconds prior to the crash. Approximately 3.7 seconds before the crash, Super Cruise entered a disabled/not ready state due to detection of hands on the steering wheel, followed by a brake pedal press. According to the OnStar recording, the subject vehicle rear-ended an SUV.
