Narrative
At 7:50 AM (EST) on January [XXX], 2024, a Cadillac CT5 was travelling in the center lane on [XXX], [XXX] with Super Cruise engaged. The driver made a right hand lane change. The driver noticed the vehicle ahead was slowing rapidly and made a left hand lane change. The left rear door area of the subject vehicle struck a vehicle already travelling in that lane. Super Cruise was active 6.8 seconds prior to the crash. Super Cruise entered an "off" state at 1.4 seconds prior to the crash. A subject vehicle speed of 50 mph was recorded at the time of impact.
